75 seconds of breathing instead of several months of waiting.
TidalSense is a young company from Cambridge tackling a problem nearly two centuries old: the diagnosis of COPD still relies on spirometry, a technique dating back to the 1840s, which is time-consuming and easily skewed depending on how the patient blows. Its N-Tidal device measures exhaled carbon dioxide and analyzes the shape of the respiratory curve using a model trained on over 2.5 million patient breaths. The result: a measurement obtained from 75 seconds of breathing at rest, achievable directly at the general practitioner's office, with just ten minutes of training for the staff.
For the ERS Congress 2026, the brand entrusted us with its stand at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona. From September 5th to 9th, the world's largest gathering in respiratory medicine brought together the international pulmonology community around the theme "United for better breathing". ERS has more than 35,000 clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from over 160 countries.
We managed the project from start to finish: concept, technical plans, manufacturing in our Paris and Lyon workshops, transport to Spain, on-site assembly, and then dismantling.
For an innovative company facing the big names in medical devices, the ERS is the moment to establish credibility for a technology with those who will prescribe it. The booth must convince pulmonologists, not appeal to a broad public.
Making a technology understood in a few seconds
The challenge lies in the demonstration: the device fits in the hand and the test takes less than two minutes. The booth was designed so that the visitor can try it, understand the principle, and leave with a clear idea of how the device changes their practice.
