At SIAL, you don't just look at cheese: you sit down and taste it.
Savencia Fromage & Dairy is the 2nd largest French cheese group and the 5th worldwide: a company founded in 1956 under the name Bongrain, which became Savencia in 2015, present in 29 countries with nearly 21,000 employees, and behind a portfolio of brands that everyone knows without always connecting them — Caprice des Dieux, Saint Agur, Elle & Vire, Tartare, St Môret, Cœur de Lion, Chaumes, Géramont. For SIAL Paris 2026, from October 17 to 21 at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte, Savencia entrusted Expace with the design and production of its custom stand in Hall 7.
At SIAL, products aren't demonstrated: they are tasted. And a standing tasting, between two aisles, is worthless when facing a buyer who has come to negotiate a product line across twelve countries. Hence the deliberate choice—not to build a showcase, but a reception home. A stand you enter, where you sit down, where you stay for an hour. The furniture isn't decoration: it is the sales tool.
The signal comes first from above. A suspended, curved, double-height wave-shaped sign runs along the entire perimeter and features the logo on all four sides: it can be read from the far end of the hall, well before making out the entrance. Beneath it, a luminous ring and its crown of foliage mark the heart of the space. On the ground, the reception: a curved white counter with oak slats, marked Reception Desk, which filters and directs—to the left, Le Bar à Fromage and Haute Fromagerie with their refrigerated display cases; to the right, the lounge areas.
The rest is a succession of places rather than zones. An international counter where flags—Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, France—and a wooden Eiffel Tower convey the group's global presence at a single glance. A fluted light-wood bar, backlit and set against three large white arches where ingredients are displayed in bas-relief. A tasting area with banquettes and tables, furnished like a real restaurant: ecru bouclé chairs, sage green, terracotta, and woven wicker pendant lights. A preserved moss wall bearing the solid wood monogram. And on the exterior facade, the centerpiece: a multi-meter oak circle where the entire product range is displayed in a rosette around the logo, encircled by a warm halo of light—the catalogue transformed into an object.
The entire palette follows the same direction: white, light oak, vertical fluting, greenery, wicker, and warm plinth lighting. None of the usual agri-food industry codes—neither clinical white, nor industrial refrigeration, nor giant packaging. At a trade show where people walk eight hours a day, it's comfort that brings them in.
Design, workshop manufacturing, transport to Villepinte, assembly and dismantling on site: a single point of contact throughout the entire chain, in France as well as internationally, just like for all our Art de Vivre stands.
