Nothing to display, everything to try.
Lamy Liaisons is one of France’s leading legal and social publishers: an editorial lineage dating back to 1895, the Lamy and Liaisons Sociales collections, nearly 6 million documents, more than 2,000 authors and experts, and 100,000 users each day. Having joined the European group Karnov Group in 2022, the company is now developing its own legal AI tools. For the National Lawyers' Convention 2026, which brought the profession together at the MEETT in Toulouse from October 21 to 23 after a nine-year absence, Lamy Liaisons entrusted Expace with the design and production of its custom-built stand.
A legal publisher has nothing physical to put on a pedestal: its product is a document database and, now, an AI. The approach stems from this — rather than displaying a catalog, seat people in front of a screen. At a trade show where people move between two plenary sessions, the true metric is not foot traffic, but seated demonstrations. The entire booth is designed around this.
The overall design unfolds in three stages. As a high-level beacon, the white canopy branded with LAMY LIAISONS | KARNOV GROUP, with its yellow underside, holds the brand high above the aisle. At the corner entrance, a lacquered yellow portal acts as a threshold: a large demo screen, a LamyLia banner, a QR code totem reading “Come test LamyLia!”, a vertical light tube anchoring the corner, and an antique statue as a nod to the campaign — the AI that sets precedents, set among marbles. At the core, the demo bar: a long yellow counter with a white countertop, five fully equipped workstations, high stools, backed by a light wood slatted wall housing the row of screens. And facing the aisle, the reception desk with wooden side panels and a backlit base, displaying the company's signature tagline — Facilitating access to legal information for professionals — alongside the four divisions: Academy, Community, Foresight, and Solutions. Coffee and pastries take care of the rest.
The rest lies in the color palette: solid bold Lamy yellow, lacquered white, light wood vertical slats, and illuminated plinths that lift the furniture off the floor. Three materials, not one more — at a trade show where everyone prints institutional blue, this uncompromising brand color makes the booth stand out from one end of the hall to the other.
Design, workshop manufacturing, transport to Toulouse, assembly and dismantling at the MEETT exhibition center: a single point of contact across the entire chain, both in France and internationally, just like for all our Consulting & Finance booths.
