Kermel, the fiber that protects those who protect us
Kermel has been producing a meta-aramid fiber in Colmar since 1972, which resists flame without melting. It is worn by firefighters, law enforcement, the armed forces, and industrial workers in twenty-four countries: a material that is never seen, but upon which the safety of those who wear it depends.
For the 133rd National Firefighters Congress, the company entrusted us with its stand at the Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux. From October 13 to 16, 2027, the Palais 2 l'Atlantique will bring together 5,000 delegates, the International Rescue and Security Exhibition, and a village open to the general public: four days during which officers, SDIS, purchasing departments, and protection manufacturers come together.
We manage the project from start to finish: concept, technical plans, manufacturing in our Paris and Lyon workshops, transport to Bordeaux, on-site assembly, and then dismantling. A single point of contact for Kermel, whose teams can focus on their meetings.
At the firefighters' convention, you don't sell a finished product: you prove a material. The people you meet in the aisles write the specifications for intervention gear and choose the textiles that will equip entire departments. The stand must therefore do one thing above all others: make performance tangible.
A stand designed as a demonstration
Resistance to heat, fire, abrasion: the properties of the fiber are difficult to explain but easy to show. Demonstration areas allow visitors to touch the textiles, watch live tests, and ask questions to the brand's engineers, alongside service, intervention, and forest fire gear.
Room for long conversations
Sleek lines, warm tones: the layout deliberately contrasts with the technical nature of the products on display. Behind the demonstration area, a lounge space provides time to sit down, open a file, and discuss volumes, certifications, and lead times.
A demanding environment, technical materials, professional visitors: this project extends what we do in the defense market, such as the KNDS Mobility stand at Eurosatory. The Bordeaux Exhibition Centre is also familiar territory: we delivered the Bouygues Construction stand there for the 86th Hlm Congress.
