Making a technology visible which, by its very nature, is unseen.
Exosens is a French group born from the heritage of Photonis, which has become one of the world specialists in detection and imaging technologies. The group designs and manufactures its own components and cameras — intensifier tubes, SWIR imaging, thermal imaging, wavefront analysis — under the Photonis, Xenics, Telops, and Phasics brands, for industry, science, and defense. A complete chain, from photon to image. For Vision, the major global gathering for industrial vision in Stuttgart, Exosens entrusted Expace with the design and production of its custom-made stand.
In a hall where hundreds of exhibitors are all selling cameras, the product does not speak for itself: a SWIR sensor fits in one hand and shows nothing. Hence the approach: do not display products, but rather images. Four stations, four screens, four live demonstrations. The visitor doesn't just look at a camera resting on a pedestal — they see what the camera sees, and understand in three seconds what would have taken ten minutes to explain to them.
Above it all, a suspended L-shaped, double-sided sign, supported by a technical truss loaded with some twenty spotlights: the logo can be read from one end of the aisle to the other, long before you can make out the stand, and carries the brand's promise — Reveal the invisible. Below, the space unfolds in three stages. The light wood reception desk at the corner entrance, with its brochure display. Along the midnight blue wall, the line of demonstration stations — SWIR line-scan for food sorting and recycling, Phasics wavefront analysis, Extended SWIR for material identification, Telops thermal imaging for wafer inspection — each with its title above its screen. In the center, backlit display cases and podiums, where components and compact cameras can be viewed up close.
The rest lies in the color palette: deep midnight blue, lacquered white, light wood, charcoal grey carpet, and that cyan light strip running along the base of all the furniture, making the pieces float above the floor. Nothing showy, all about contrast — at an imaging trade show, it is controlled darkness that highlights the screens.
Design, workshop manufacturing, transport to Stuttgart, assembly and dismantling at the Messe exhibition center: a single point of contact across the entire chain, both in France and internationally, as with all of our Energy & IT stands.
