A trade show booth you can browse just like a store aisle.
BWT is the European leader in water treatment, from private swimming pools to collective networks. Its Pool Products division and its consumer brand myPOOL are aimed at distributors and pool specialists — an audience that does not buy a promise, but a range. For spoga+gafa, the world's leading garden and outdoor trade fair in Cologne, BWT entrusted Expace with the design and construction of its custom-built stand.
When dealing with a buyer making listing decisions, displaying three hero products is not enough: they want to see the depth of the range, and they want to see it organized. Hence the approach—not building an image-focused booth, but a retailer showroom. Black slatted panels run along the entire length, with pool vacuums, skimmer nets, brushes, and treatment chemicals lined up just like in a store, while magenta podiums present heat pumps, sand filters, and ground-mounted pumps within arm's reach. The trade visitor is not browsing a shop window: they are planning their retail shelving.
In the center, a double-sided corner totem shifts the mood. A turquoise water backdrop, a magenta neon V-shape, and robotic pool cleaners wall-mounted as if floating—two catchphrases, each readable from an aisle: Maximale Wasserkompetenz… on one side, …für schönste Poolmomente! on the other. It is the booth's single showpiece, positioned precisely where the two visitor traffic flows intersect. Above, the technical truss supports a double-sided suspended sign separating the two brand identities: BWT Pool Products on the midnight blue side, myPOOL on the magenta side.
The rest lies in the color palette: saturated magenta, midnight blue, high-gloss white, navy carpet. Two colors, not three, echoed in large circular arcs on the back walls—the circular shape of the BWT visual identity directly defines the booth's architecture. Nothing to decode: from twenty meters away, you instantly recognize the brand.
Opposite the retail display, the welcome area shifts in tone—white and wood counter, bar stools, round tables, and an openwork magenta partition wall that shields the meeting nook from the aisle without closing it off. That is where listing agreements are signed.
