IMTS presents everything that makes a modern workshop run: machining, forming, additive manufacturing, cutting tools, metrology, robotics, and automation. The 2026 edition brought together more than 1,700 exhibitors and 90,000 visitors. Organized by the AMT every two years, the show offers European manufacturers direct access to American buyers investing in industrial reshoring.
McCormick Place: the convention giant on the shores of Lake Michigan
As the largest convention center in North America, McCormick Place stands south of Chicago, well-connected by O'Hare Airport. Several assembly tasks are subject to unionized trade regulations with high rates. A well-designed booth anticipates these rules: fast assembly, prefabricated elements, and controlled weights.
