Opinel is an object that everyone has already held in their hand: a blade, a beechwood handle, a safety ring. Born in Savoy in 1890, manufactured in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, the knife has become a classic of French design, exhibited in the MoMA as well as at the bottom of pockets. The brand entrusted us with its stand for Maison&Objet September 2026, in the Cook & Share sector, in Hall 4 of the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center.
104 m² right in the heart of the hall, bordered by the main aisle. The challenge of an exhibition like this for a company with such a strong heritage: to show that it continues to move forward. To make room for new collections, the kitchen, and the garden, without ever betraying the object that built the brand. Five days to receive French and international distributors, and to recall what a know-how of more than 130 years can still produce today.
We managed the project from start to finish: concept, technical plans, manufacturing in our workshops in Paris and Lyon, assembly on site and then dismantling. A single contact person for the brand, who was able to focus on their meetings rather than on the coordination of their stand.

A stand in the image of the object
Simple, solid, without unnecessary effect: the stand follows the same logic as the knife it presents. Honest materials, a legible architecture, and all the space given to the products.
Showing the range without diluting the icon
The layout distinguishes the worlds—kitchen, garden, nomad—while keeping an anchor point visible from the aisle. The visitor recognizes the brand immediately, then discovers the extent of the catalog while circulating.
