ESPGHAN is the annual congress of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Following Lille in June 2026, the 59th edition will take place from June 2 to 5, 2027 in Lisbon (venue to be confirmed).
ESPGHAN: the reference congress in paediatric gastroenterology
The congress brings together clinicians, researchers and industrial partners for plenary lectures, workshops, courses, real-case sessions and joint symposia on paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.
The 2026 edition in Lille gathered over 6,000 participants from 116 countries. The event is organized by ESPGHAN, whose annual meetings date back to 1968.
Lisbon: a congress by the Tagus
Lisbon has an international airport close to the city center and excellent hotel capacity, making it easy to host congresses of several thousand people. The exact venue for the 2027 edition remains to be confirmed.
As Portugal is in the European Union, transport from France is by road without customs. Setup and dock access constraints will be set by the organizer.
