Annual national congress of the French Association of Biomedical Engineers, the Journées AFIB are celebrating their 30th edition in Rennes, from October 7 to 9, 2026, at the Couvent des Jacobins. The theme is: "Reinventing ourselves for a sustainable future."

Journées AFIB: the gathering of biomedical engineers

The 2026 edition brings together around 350 participants, 50 speakers, and 110 exhibitors. The program alternates between plenary sessions (Wednesday and Friday) and a day of workshops on Thursday, focusing on ecological transition and hospital innovation.

Visitors are biomedical engineers and managers from healthcare institutions, decision-makers for medical device purchases. An exhibition on a human scale, ideal for direct discussions with suppliers.

Rennes: a congress in a heritage venue

The Couvent des Jacobins is located right in the center of Rennes, near the train station, about an hour and a half from Paris by TGV. The historical site requires compact layouts and carefully managed access.
